3 Rascals Out of Pongal Race

Shankar’s first ever remake film 3 Rascals (Official Remake of Bollywood Blockbuster 3 Idiots) is officially out of pongal race in Tollywood. Though, the reason for the postponement is not known, we are predicting that due to the scarcity of theaters the makers have made this decision. For this pongal there is tough competition in the form of Superstar Mahesh's Business Man, Victory Venkatesh's Bodyguard and Sunil's Poola Rangadu.

On the other side, Panjaa and Rajanna are making their release on 9th and 23rd respectively. With this kind of competition getting good theaters will be definitely a problem. One of the heroes of the film who plays Aamir Khan’s character Vijay is not popular in Andhra Pradesh is another reason for the makers to opt out of pongal race. Jeeva and Sriram are also playing heroes of the film, while Ileana is the heroine.

The updated news is that the movie is slated for release on January 26.

Mahesh's 3 Idiots In Confusion

Much anticipated Telugu remake of Bollywood blockbuster 3 Idiots is called off, says unofficial reports. Director Shankar wants bulk dates of Super Star Mahesh Babu for this film and that will be almost impossible for Super Star Mahesh as he has given his dates to ‘Dookudu’ film.

Citing dates problems Superstar Mahesh moved out of this project, says grapevine. However, there were speculations about Prince Mahesh’s dislike about starring in 3 Idiots remake as Shankar has roped in many Tamil actors. With the latest developments Superstar Mahesh has walked out of this project and so did Vijay, who is supposed to do the same role in Tamil version.

Vijay was reportedly asked to change his looks for this character and the actor didn’t oblige to that condition as he is starring in other films at the moment. Changing his getup will raise continuity problems for those films and he too walked out of 3 Idiots remake it seems.

Therefore, 3 Idiots remake was ‘almost’ called off until or unless they find apt replacements to these superstars.

High Court Notice to 'Robo' Team

The Madras high court on Tuesday issued summons to the director and the producer of Robo (Endhiran) on receiving a complaint from the writer who claimed that the story was illegally taken from his book.

The civil suit was present for admission before Justice S Rajeswaran and he asked the production house ‘Sun Pictures’ and Shankar to answer the file by November 18.

The summons was accepted on behalf of Kalanidhi Maran, producer of the film and managing director of Sun Pictures. By November 18th the notice is to be returned.

Aarur Tamil Nadan the writer stated in the application that The story of Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran was based on the novel named Jugiba written by me and was published in the year1996 and 2007 in a magazine.

The film is already released and doing a good business. Sun Pictures also opposed any temporary order to see that the film will continue its screening.

Mahesh Babu's '3 Idiots' News Update

After the stupendous success of Robot, Shankar has moved on to his next project, remaking of 3 idiots and lead of the movie is actor Mahesh Babu will be playing Aamir Khan’s role in this movie. The progress of the movie is moving in fast pace.

Recently Harris Jayaraj announced that the first tune has been given to Shankar for the remake of ‘3 Idiots’. Harris earlier worked with Shankar for a Tamil movie ‘Anniyan’ in 2005.

“The first tune has been given to Shankar for ‘3 Idiots’. The film will have Mahesh Babu in Telugu and Vijay in Tamil”, the music composer said. The music director is too busy with handful of projects both in Telugu and Tamil. Harris composed tunes for ‘Engeyum Kadhal’ a Tamil movie and ‘Orange’ in Telugu. Interesting thing is that both the movies will have their audio releases on the same day- October 24.

Director Shankar had taken 2 years to complete Rajini’s ‘Robo’, where as Shankar’s next project ,which is a remake of Hindi Blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ will be completed in six months.

Hi Everybody,

‘Robo’ film is in theatres now. I couldn’t be in touch with you guys for a long time since I was doing post production, release, theatre rounds and promotional activities till yesterday.

Thanks to everyone all over the world who enjoyed, supported and appreciated the film. Thanks to the press and all medias. I am very happy that the film is appreciated by the critics as well and was given 5 stars in many reviews and 4 – 5 in others. I am delighted with the box-office records south, north and all over the world.

Many stalwarts of the Indian film industry have congratulated me in person & over phone after watching the movie. It’s a wonderful feeling, Aamir Khan after watching the film invited me to his house, appreciated and discussed about the film till early morning with his wife Kiran and Director Rajkumar Hirani.

Hrithik Roshan called & shared his excitement after watching the film. Kamalhaasan congratulated by sending flowers to me with a beautiful message.

Kannada director & actor Upendra, Actor Prakasraj and lot of directors, actors and technicians called and conveyed their heartfull appreciation.

The most exciting appreciation came from Director K Balachander. No Words to Describe Shankar Imagination: Rajamouli

The ace director of Telugu film industry Rajamouli said after watching Rajini’s Robo, He has no words to describe the film, Such a wonderful film made by director Shankar. And he is impressed with screen play and direction of the movie.

“Shankar proved that he is the master of catching the pulse of the audience”. Where one interesting scene make me laugh is that the robot goes in search of a mosquito which bit Aishwarya and wanted to catch it. Then the robot and the mosquitoes will have an interesting conversation, where a mosquito called ‘Dengue Lakshmi’ challenges the robot. And this show that how keen about the scene he his.
