Story
Karthik (Varun) is a happy go lucky guy who believes in strong friendships but not in love. He feels that love will hinder freedom and there are more difficulties in independence than enjoyment.
On the other hand, there is Madhulatha (Preetika) who has a strong belief in love and her parents also stand as example for successful love marriage. A sequence of events brings Madhu close to Karthik and she falls in love with him. In an unexpected twist, families of Karthik and Madhu meet and their fathers (Nasser, Kasi Viswanath) turn out to be friends. Knowing Madhu’s intentions, her father proposes alliance and Karthik is caught in a situation where he says yes. However, he decides to get out of it and catches Vara Prasad (Ranadheer) a sincere lover of Madhu. Karthik starts training Prasad to woo Madhu and what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Artists Performance:
Varun Sandesh has given his sincere attempt to deliver his performance but he seems to have got stuck in particular pattern. It is about time he also focuses on putting some weight.
Preetika Rao is okay. Performance wise, she was confident but looks wise she has flat features which will go against her. Focusing on building the glamour quotient will help her for future.
Ranadheer has given a convincing performance. Though his role is underplayed, he manages to make his presence felt.
Swetha Basu came and went, Nasser was natural, Kasi Viswanath was standard, Kota was regular, Vennela Kishore & Ali brought few smiles. Surekha Vani, Pragathi, Vijay Sai and others did their bit as required.
Highlights:
* First half
* Technical values
Drawbacks:
* Conceptual blunder
* Over idealistic characterisation of heroine, that doesn’t happen in real life
* Boring anti climax
* Weak comedy
* Poor songs
* Overdose of melodrama in second half
Final Analysis:
Varun Sandesh started off well in his career but down the line he has not been picking the right roles to prove his versatility. Yet again, he tries to be the blue eyed lover boy with no hard feelings but then such things should not cross reason and sensibility.
Of course, this could be the director’s fault but it is also Varun’s fault for having chosen such a role.
The plot lacked conviction and since it has defied logic and practicality, the graph keeps going down as the film progresses. The final nail in the head is hit due to the over elongated climax.
Overall, the take off for the film is on an incorrect track so not much can be expected from it. At the box office, the film would need aggressive publicity to push the film among the youth since they are the only hope for this film.
