Mani Ratnam’s dream project Ponniyin Selvan has been shelved due to its unimaginable budget. Now the ace director is said to have penned a couple of scripts, which are contemporary.
One of the scripts is a multi-starrer (two-hero) project where veteran actor Karthik’s son, Gautham Karthik is being considered as one of the heroes while Arya and Mahesh Babu will be the other hero in Tamil and Telugu versions respectively. Just like Mani Ratnam’s previous outings, the film will be a bi-lingual or tri-lingual to be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions.
However, it hasn’t been officially confirmed and since it is Mahesh’s dream to work with director Mani Ratnam the chances of the project to shape up are high.
