Venkatesh have finally ticked Bodyguard remake as his immediate film. Gopichand Malineni is the director and Bellamkonda Suresh is the producer.
The unit has been searching for a heroine who suits perfectly opposite Venkatesh and also does justice to the role. Nayantara is the first choice for this role actually. She essayed the same role in Malayalam version of Bodyguard and excelled in it. Hence, Venkatesh is vying for her. Also he has delivered two hits Lakshmi and Tulasi in her combination. Naturally, Venkatesh is more inclined towards her.
However, Nayantara is not willing to take up any new assignments as she is planning to marry Prabhu Deva after finishing off Sri Rama Rajyam with Balakrishna. If Nayan stays firm with her decision then Anushka might be penciled into do this film.
