Actress-turned-part time politician and Yuva Rajyam president Pavan Kalyan has decided to quit politics.
Pavan Kalyan met his brother and Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi on Saturday and told him that he was not interested in joining the Congress party along with others and would concentrate on his films. He wished his brother all the best.
Interestingly, Pavan Kalyan inadvertently made an official announcement that the PRP is going to merge with the Congress party. “Yeah, the PRP will be merging into the Congress. Brother will make an announcement to this effect and explain you the reasons,” he told the media.
In any case, Pavan Kalyan has been staying away from politics ever since the PRP lost the elections in 2009. He has not been coming to the party office and his Yuva Rajyam has failed to take up any programme. His much hyped Anti-Corruption Forum also has become defunct. So, what difference does it make whether Pavan Kalyan stays in politics or not?
