Reasons Behind Rosiah’s Resignation!!

Finally, the much awaited and long expected thing has happened. The grand old man K Rosiah was asked to put down his papers as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. While health was being cited as the key reason for Rosiah’s resignation, the truth seems to be far from it. Inside sources reveal few important factors that led to the latest political development.

For starters, it was Rosiah’s indecisiveness which didn’t go well with his colleagues. Also, his over dependence on the high command for every issue was chided as a negative thing. On the other hand, Rosiah was neither a strong leader nor a wise strategist. He could not implement discipline in his own cabinet and was helpless in controlling his own party members. Despite the fact that he was the senior most, Rosiah was unable to achieve these fundamental things.

Another reason was the Jagan tsunami. It was clear that Rosiah stood no ground in front of the Jagan wave and high command realized that there was an urgent need for a strong leader who could counter Jagan in the event of the Kadapa MP getting expelled.

Also, Rosiah was nowhere near impressive when it comes to striking a chord with the masses. He lacked the charisma and the assertiveness like his predecessor Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. While it is agreed that Rosiah is 78, it is not about his age alone but many other reasons why he was asked to step down. The final nail on the head was hit when Sakshi TV came up with a new campaign titled ‘Hastagatam’ wherein Sonia Gandhi’s ability as a leader was questioned directly.

As if that is not enough, Rosiah made another move which appalled the high command. Apparently, Rosiah was said to be showing affinity towards the Kamma community which has a strong presence in TDP. The high command realizes that Congress in AP survives purely due to the Reddy community and Rosiah’s move was indirectly prompting the Reddy leaders to get into the coterie of Jagan. And Rosiah’s inability to control the mastermind K V P Ramachandra Rao was also said to be another reason.

With Sakshi TV’s special edition on Sonia, the high command decided that enough was enough and it is heard that Sonia’s political secretary Ahmed Patel called up Rosiah immediately and asked him to rush to Delhi. Ironically, it is heard that the former CM took his time as he was busy with Arya Vysya Sammelan followed by the birthday celebrations of Satya Sai Baba. Well, all eyes are now on the newcomer Kiran Kumar Reddy to see how he will take this state forward.
