Diwali Ends Off With No Blasts!

Diwali Release in Tollywood
The festival season usually sets a stage for big budget movie releases. Big releases, Clash of films, Producers tensions, fans hungama, film folks reviews, this is what we see for every festival in Tollywood. But the case is quite different for this Diwali. The lightening festival has ended up with no big blasts. The Telugu film industry has only seen just a couple of small releases this time. Prakash Raj and Bhumika starrer ‘Collector Gaari Bhaarya’ is the only original Telugu film that was released and ‘Shopping Mall’, a dubbed film of Tamil version titled Angadi Theru has been released.

However, this is not the case with Bollywood and Kollywood. Bollywood saw two big releases Golmaal 3 starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor and Action Replayy starring Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles while, on the other hand Kollywood also had four big releases, Uthamaputhiran, Mynaa, Va Quarter Cutting, Vallakottai for this Diwali.

With all the big films getting pipelined, the second half of the November and the December month will see few big releases of Tollywood. Firstly, there is Nandamuri Kalyan Ram’s ‘KalyanRam kathi’ which is hitting the big screens on November 12th. The film’s songs and the trailers look very captivating. Nandamuri fans have high expectations for this film and KalyanRam also has pinned many hopes on this movie since the actor is desperately waiting for a hit from long time. Next to it we have, the controversial director, Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Rakta Charitra 2’ getting released. After the steady collections of Rakta Charitra, audience has good hopes on Rakta charitra 2 and Varma has already started its promotional activities. RamCharan’s ‘Orange’ is also few weeks away from its release. The movie has high expectations from the audience since the film has a big cast and crew and the film is also a first release for RamCharan after the mega block-buster hit ‘Magadheera’. Venkatesh ‘Nagavalli’ the remake of kannada block buster and sequel to Chandramukhi also will hit the silver screens in this December. Since the prequel is a block-buster hit, audience has good expectations on this flick too and finally, Nagarjuna is arriving with his ‘Ragada’ on 17th December. Nagarjuna is waiting for a commercial hit after his Kedi getting bombed at the box-office in the last December. With a week or two time, these movies will hit the big screens. Apart from these there are also small budget films and few dubbing flicks coming up. So, it takes a week more for the Telugu film industry to get heated up.
