Kamal Haasan has started shooting for the Tamil and Telugu remake versions of the Neeraj Pandey-directed Hindi film A Wednesday. Directed by debutante Chakri and produced jointly by Kamal Haasan’s Raj Kamal International and UTV, the Tamil version is titled Unnaipol Oruvan, while the Telugu version has the title Ee Naadu. While Kamal himself would be playing in Tamil and Telugu the character played by Nasseeruddin Shah in the original, it would be Mohanlal who would play the police commissioner (Anupam Kher’s role) in Tamil while Venkatesh would play the same in Telugu. The film started rolling recently at the Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad. A major highlight of the film is that Shruthi Haasan, the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika, will maker her debut as music director in both the Tamil and the Telugu remake versions.
