After months of hunting around for a lead actress, it looks like Tamil actor Vijay has zeroed in on Tamanna, the fastest rising star in Tollywood and Kollywood, to play his female lead in his prestigious 50th film! Telugu Movie News
Initially Asin was the choice for the role but as Asin is busy in bollywood, he cannot get the dates of ASIN.
The next best option was the flavour of the season — Tamanna — who had back-to-back super hits (Padikkathavan and Ayan) in tamil. When contacted the actress confirmed that she is playing the lead opposite Vijay. “I was impressed with the script” she discloses. With no Telugu offers in her kitty, she seems to have resolved to stay back in Kollywood.
In Tollywood, she was last seen in KIKK with Siddharth, but her dubbed films like Kalasala, Ananda Thandavam and veedokkade failed to click with the audience.
