After playing a vamp in Billa, Namitha will be playing a cop in her next Telugu film Desadrohi. The actress seems really upbeat about doing an action film.
“I love to do action roles,” she says. To fit into the role, she has shed a lot of weight. “I know that actress Vijayashanti was popular in cop roles and if I can do just 10 percent of her performance, I’ll be satisfied,” she adds. She also intends to do the dare-devil action without a body-double. If the rumours are to be believed, Desadrohi will also be made in Tamil. Namitha’s platter is full with a number of movies like Indiravizha, Jaganmohini and Black Stallion, a Malayalam film and she is not even complaining about the lack of punch in her character. She will be more than the hero’s arm candy in all the movies. Now, that’s what we call variety in life!
