Prabhas starrer Billa is all set to be released on April 3rd. The producers have announced the release date officially on Monday, March 30 at a press conference held at Ramanaidu studios, Hyderabad. Krishmam Raju and his wife, director Meher Ramesh and producers Prabodh and Narendra attended the press meet.
Krishnam Raju praises the director
Krishnam Raju shared his happiness and looked very confident about the film. Our intention to start producing films again on our home banner after a gap of 16 years is to project Prabhas in a never before seen style. I wanted to porttray him a in stylish manner and we made Billa which, I am sure, is going to set a benchmark in Telugu films. Prabhas is going to look ultra modern - his looks are chic and costumes are extremely stylish. When Meher Ramesh told this concept, Prabhas liked it immediately but he was hesitant whether I would say yes or not. He was surprised when I immediately okayed. He also lauded director Meher Ramesh for presenting it differently. After the introduction shot was filmed, everyone in our unit was thrilled. When I saw the rushes, I felt happy that Meher is directing it superbly. The introduction scene and climax scenes are going to be remembered for a long time. Meher and the cameraman Sounder Rajan have done an extremely great job, he praised. Krishnam Raju plays the role of a cop in the movie.
Milestone in Prabhass career: Meher Ramesh
Director Meher Ramesh thanked Gopikrishna Movies unit and Krishnam Raju for giving him freedom and facilitating everything on time to finish the movie on right time. This is a big budget movie shot lavishly but we have completed it in a very short period. Perhaps, this is the only film in the recent times in Telugu that completed its shoot in just 70 working days. We began the movie on November 14th and my producer wanted it to to be released on Ugadi. Except a delay of two to three days, we have made it. I should thank the entire unit and producers for co-operating with me in finishing it without any hassles, Meher thanked the producers.
He also said that the movie is going to be a landmark film in hero Prabhass career. He looks so dashing and his style is going to be talked about for a long time, he said.

Women would flock to the theatres
Krishnam Rajus wife, Shyamala Devi, said: Women in 60s too would flock to the theatres to see Prabhas in Billa. He is such a handsome young star. We were thrilled and excited even during the shoot. I am sure women would love the movie. Another person in the movie worth mentioning is gorgeous Anushka. She is a very sweet girl.
