AP To Produce 35mm Cinemascope Ad Films

The Congress government led by the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, has launched a media war against the Opposition to inform the people about its various developmental programmes. The government has produced four new documentary films in Telugu on AP’s future, irrigation projects, pensions and Indiramma housing schemes.

The two-minute documentaries titled Bhavite Haaye, Haritha vanam, Vruddapya Pensionlu, and Indiramma Illu-Anandapu Logillu in 35 mm Telugu colour cinemascope will hit the big screen soon. The Congress is also issuing a series of advertisements in newspapers on its developmental schemes at regular intervals.

After a long gap, the government owned AP State Film Television and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTTDC) is making documentary films and screening them in cinema theatres before the start of a feature films.

Meanwhile, virtually setting the tone for the next general election campaign, the Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy, launched a scathing attack on the Telugu Desam.

He vowed to wipe out backwardness in Telangana region by expeditiously implementing the Pranahitha-Chevella project at an estimated cost of Rs 40,000 crore. Dr Reddy laid the foundation stone for two separate lift irrigation projects at an estimated cost of about Rs 600 crore at Lakkaram and Kaleshwaram in Manthani constituency.
