Ashta Chemma, starring Swathi of Colours fame and newcomer Nani, is being directed by Indraganti Mohana Krishna and produced by Rammohan under Art Beat Capital Productions. Over the weekend, the audio was launched in Hyderabad with a lot of fanfare. Venkatesh, taking time off from his hectic shooting schedule, released the audio for which music is scored by Kalyani Malik.

The director and producer are very optimistic about the outcome of the movie. They felt that this movie would go a long way in cementing Swathi's reputation as an actress; they also complimented the entire unit for their hard work and dedication.

At the function, director Mohanakrishna said, "The film was made with love and entertainment as the two main elements. In the traditional game of Ashta Chemma, the players draw steps one after the other for a win. In our film too, two couples follow similar steps to win each other's love."

As Nani, Srinivas, Swathi and Bhargavi, who play the main protagonists, are all local Andhras, fluent in Telugu, the director feels this fact by itself is one of the highlights of the film.

The film has finished the shooting schedules and is in post-production. It will be released by the first week of September.
