Uallasamga Utsahamga Hero Yasho Sagar Chit Chat

What’s your original name? Is it Yasho Sagar? Or changed it for the films?

No. My original name is Bharat. But I changed it as Yasho Sagar based on numerology. Yasho means big name and fame and I thought that it should in abundance like a sea (Sagar).

You are making your debut appearance as hero. How did you feel?

It is quite exciting and I am enjoying the film environment. When I got the opportunity to play hero, I had strong feeling that I have become more energetic. Moreover, working under a successful director like Karunakaran is something really great. I am very happy right from the day I sat for story discussions to till date

By the way, how did you plan your career and how did you get the opportunity to work under Karunakaran?

Once, Karunakaran came to my father and narrated a story. He told him that he was planning the movie with new faces and asked my father to be a co-producer. But, my father, who was impressed with the subject, told Karunakaran to do the film and he was ready to be the producer. Immediately, the director introduced me to my father I would be the hero in the film. Like this, my dream to become a hero turned true.

Basically you are a Kannadiga. But you are being introduced as a hero through a Telugu film. What is the reason behind choosing Telugu as your debut film?

There is nothing like that. My father is a good producer in Kannada and my mom, being a girl from Telugu family, had a strong feeling that I should do a Telugu film. As I got the opportunity to play hero, and she is very happy that I got an opportunity to make my debut in Telugu film industry. My mom was very happy.

Tell us about your debut film ‘Ullasamgaa… Utsahamgaa.’?

A beautiful damsel visits her relatives house in a colony during her summer holidays. There she comes across a boy who lost his heart to that girl. How that boy won the heart of the girl and what kind of problems he faced during the course is the main concept of the film. I can surely say that it is a very good love story.

How was your work experience with Karunakaran?

I liked the film ‘Tholiprema’ very much among all the Telugu films which I saw so far. I watched the film for innumerable times. I was so impressed with that film. Doing my debut film with the director of that film is really a memorable situation in my lifetime. I feel gifted to work with Karunakaran. I am very very happy to work with him. He is such a great director that when we can’t perform properly, he would personally show how to act and get it done by us and extract the real talent in the artiste.

How do you like working with Sneha Ullal, the heroine of your debut film.

It is very good and pleasant experience. Already she faced the camera for 'Lucky', which was really a bubbly character. She got an opportunity to do a similar role in this film and she appears like an angel in this movie. It is really a wonderful experience. Her presence would be a great asset for our film.

Tell us about the music in the film?

AR Rahman’s nephew GV Prakash scored music for the film. He gave superb music for the film and the audiences were complaining that they were not able to grab at least one CD from the music shops. It is a surprise that the daughter of the distributor of our film Dil Raju went to Music World but could not get the music CD of the film. The audio was a big hit. He scored very good music even for re-recording also. I am very happy that a talented music director is being introduced with my debut film. Of all the songs in the album, I liked the song ‘Priyathamaaa..’

What are your expectations on the range of this movie?

I just can’t say about the range of my film at this juncture. But, one thing I can surely say that the film starts with entertainment and slowly dips the audiences into love feel and make them to think about the film for every minute a little later. Surely it would be a ‘Rain of Joy’ as the tagline of our film suggests.
