Meet Swathi, the bubbly, fun loving, outgoing and thoroughly city-bred girl who is just the opposite of the coy and demure Thulasi of Subramaniapuram.
Says Swathi: “I am so happy to know that the film is turning out to be a blockbuster. All the positive reviews and critical acclaim that this small film, which we all did with a lot of conviction, cannot ask for more.”
To this former TV hostess in Telugu, movies was an accident and she confesses that she had no formal training in acting, no industry connections, has never made a portfolio or knows anything about make-up. On only glamour girls making it to the top, Swathi says: “I don't have a great figure to wear swimsuits or skimpy outfits.”
Swathi is currently doing a Telugu film titled Ashta Chemma with the National Award winning director Mohan Krishna Indraganti. Smiles Swathi: “I am single and enjoying life to the fullest. I want to take time and do good films and if it does not work out, I have my education to fall back on.”
