NTR's Son Balakrishna Asks Fans To Ensure TDP Victory

As a precursor to his political debut, film star Nandamuri Balakrishna on Sunday organised a meeting with the members of his fan clubs and appealed to them to work for the victory of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in the ensuing elections.

Balakrishna, son of TDP founder-President and actor late Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, is all set to make his formal political entry on October 24 through the `Yuva Garjana' (roar of youth) meeting organised by the party at Guntur.

His nephews and young Telugu film stars Kalyan Ram, Tarakaratna and NTR (Junior), who too shall be entering into politics, also attended the meeting with the fans held at the Ramakrishna Horticultural Cine Studios.

Balakrishna appealed to the people to rid the state of the "corrupt and inept" administration of the Congress. "Bring the TDP back to power and restore the Telugu pride and self-respect."

Balakrishna said he would extensively campaign for the main Opposition party and his nephews too would tour the State.

"See that there is no groupism in the party. We shall all strive to secure victory for the TDP and bring it back to power," he added.
