My Review:

Story:

A good tale gone sour, the story begins with Adi Vishnu (Arun) who is an IT genius and has got the first rank in IIT. His father Srinivas Rao (Kota) is a retired teacher and Adi's only ambition is to ensure his father's dream comes true, that is going to America and getting a good job. They come to Hyderabad for getting the passport and since the home minister (Suman) is Srinivas Rao's student they take his help. As fate would have it, one day Adi gets into a fight as he tries to save Anjali (Sneha) from the henchmen of Yadagiri (Pradeep Rawat) and Jakkalamma (Aishwarya) since she is a witness to a murder. From then on enmity develops between the two and in comes the son of Yadagiri, Rana whose main mission is to do bomb blasts. He succeeds in this mission and with the help of the home minister and ACP Ranjit (Jeeva) the blame falls on Adi and he goes into prison for lifetime. But then more bomb blasts occur and finally Rana is caught but by this time Adi has lost his father and also his career. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:

The director has come up with a plot that could have been developed better but then his narration went to a dragging length and his presentation was just about okay. The script was tight but the screenplay was not effective, the music has come out very well and Srilekha needs to push her talent to the better banners. Editing was needed during the second half and cinematography was upto the mark. Dialogues at some point were hard hitting but could have been much better. It must be said that Arun needs to go a long way if he is planning to make a career. Except for his superb stunts and fight sequences, he needs to work hard on the dialogue delivery, voice modulation, his expressions were stiff and blank, dance was alright but the costumes chosen were horrendous. Sneha was sweet and looks much sexy in a sari than in modern outfits, her role was limited. Suman looked good as the home misniter but did not have much to perform. Pradeep Rawat has become repetitive with his roles and Aishwarya was good at some points and some times she was overreacting. The comedy track of Venu Madhav and MS was hilarious and his Dasavatharam scene as the Brahmin was excellent. Kota was efficient, Jeeva was effective, Prema was underutilized. The others were just about okay.

Conclusion:

The first half of the film was normal with the regular elements of comedy, romance and the usual fights but it is the second half that got some gripping scenes at the court room. However the inclusion of unwanted songs and irrelevant scenes spoiled the whole momentum and got the film to a dragging and lengthy tale. As it is, there was nothing much in the first half and when the suspense element was building up in the second half, it was messed up with unwanted stuff. The film will find it real hard to survive and Arun needs to go back to school and get all his basics right.

Bottom Line:

A below average treat, can be ignored.
