Story:

A US-aspiring software engineer Ajay (Ranadheer), a wanna-be police turned security
man Kiran (Narasimha Uthkam), and an assistant film director Subbu (Subhash) are friends in Hyderabad trying to live their dreams. Veerababu a.k.a. Babu (Nikhil) , outcast from his uncle's family, joins them from Kesavaram village, where they were all childhood friends. Babu meets Vishalakshi a.k.a Baby (Aksha) in a strange situation, and very soon they fall in love. Subbu finally seems to have made it big, and while everyone is celebrating, an old feud fires up, leaving the would-be director with serious skull injuries. The friends, including Ajay's girl Madhavi (Monali Choudhry) and Baby, decide to pool up all sources for money for his surgery. They finally loan the amount from a merciless goon (Narsing). When he pressurizes them to repay him, they plan to rob from the security company where Kiran works, and they plan everything right, but Kiran decides to wait behind since it might hand them up all! Ajay and Babu get arrested by the police at the company, but that's after they realize someone else had already robbed all the money! Was Kiran true in his reason? What's his role in the robbery? How much does Subbu's accident really turn the story.

Performances:

Nikhil is at ease as a careless and fearless youth, but he needs to take care of his diction some more. Aksha is okay but has a short, insignificant role in the film that goes around friends. Ranaadheer, who also acted as senior student in Happy Days
, has a considerably lengthy role in this film and he performs okay. His body language is stiff at times, though. Monali Choudhry is attractive but has a limited role as his love interest and the daughter of their house owner (played by Sivanarayana of Amrutham fame). Narasimha and Subhash fit in their roles well and have done good job. Sayaji Shinde as hardcore criminal Nananna who has a weak point of being a fan of Simran plays more a comedy role than that of a criminal.

Narsing and Jeeva appear as comedy-oriented baddies, offering some good comedy through a part of the film. Jayaprakash Reddy as the jailer, Sreenivasa Reddy as a sentry, and Prithvi as "Krishna Manohar IPS" do a good job within the scope of their roles. Sivanarayana as the house owner is intended for comedic relief, but falls short of expectations of people who may want to compare his similar role from his much-celebrated TV show Amrutham. Hero Siddharth and Krishnudu (of Happy Days and Vinayakudu fame) appear in the end of the film, rather unnecessarily.


Analysis:

Debut director Parashuram comes up with an appreciable story line for the film. He also ensured a gripping screenplay and unveils the story carefully, maintaining elements of comedy and suspense in right proportions. In fact, it's notable that he has given more importance to the story than to the threads of romance between the two lead pairs. The taking goes in a good pace for most part; more care should have been taken in establishing the romance between the hero and heroine. Camerawork is okay, but the digital intermediatary (DI) work brings in inconsistencies pertaining to focus in a couple of scenes. Picturization of songs is okay, but it's more the lyrics that catch the attention of the audiences, and some tunes are catchy; choreography is okay too. Re-recording could have been better. Fights are choreographed in a natural style. Dialogues are very good and natural through most of the film, particularly depicting the hero's characterization. Editing is just okay. Production values are appreciable.

Final Analysis:

While the title Yuvata is not really justified for a film on friends, the film is a decent entertainer in its own stride. Good story, okay performances, catchy tunes and lyrics, and no-nonsense screenplay, garnished with light comedy through dialogues and scenes may enhance the life of the film that opened in a rather low key. The film has a good interval bang and the second half has twists that enhance the tempo.

My Review:

Story:

A different love tale, the story begins with Karthik (Uday) who is about to commit suicide after getting blasted by his father (Chalapathi Rao) but then he turns up at home the next day with loads of cash. Karthik says that he got a job overseas but goes to Ooty and stays with his friends (Sreenu and Vijay). The story takes a new turn there as the entire town is after Indu (Kruthi) who does not love anyone. Karthik becomes the cupid for his friend since he likes her but then his nature, attitude and other aspects attract Indu more towards him and in no time she confesses her feelings to him. In the meantime, even Karthik starts feeling the same but then he turns her proposal down. Indu is heartbroken and returns to Hyderabad and when his friends ask him, Karthik reveals a flashback and according to that he enters into an agreement with Bhakta (Bob Antony) which makes him give his life whenever Bhakta wants it. In return, Karthik gets all the money to take care of his family and clear all problems. However, love takes over him and he comes to Hyderabad in search of Indu and finally meets her. What happens to his agreement with Bhakta? What is the suspense in the tale. Watch the film to get more.

Performances And Analysis:

The director has come up with an interesting plot and though the narrative was a bit weak, the presentation part was good. Dialogues were of standard, the songs were really melodious, camera could have been better given the locations, editing was fine. The script in a way was written well at few points and then it came down at few points. But the screenplay made up for any flaws. The other departments contributed in the best way possible. Uday Kiran has come up with a standard performance and though that strained expressions are still seen in him, he has improvised them now. Krithi looks cute and her dance moves are good, she has to work more on her emotional scenes though. Chitram Sreenu was hilarious along with Vijay, Ahuti Prasad was not utilized properly, the comeback of Bob Antony was a good feeling and he really looked elegant with his presence. Dharmavarapu did justice to his role and the others like Chalapati Rao, Sudha etc contributed as per requirement.

Final Analysis:

The concept of an agreement with life is something new and the twists and suspense involved is also interesting, however the first half of the movie took off on a rather light note with not much for the audience to connect. It is before the interval and the second half onwards that the real fever sets in and takes it to a decent climax without much confusion. The film will appeal a lot to the Uday Kiran fans and this is a different approach overall. The subject was interesting and if the execution was done in a more crisp and streamlined fashion, the film will no doubt get a success.

Moddu Seenu To Act In 'Rakta Charitra'

Ramgopal Verma is an innovative director. He has now planned to do a film based on the dead factionist Paritala Ravi. News recently was also that Ram Gopal Verma visited Paritala Ravi's wife to get first hand information into the incidents in the life of the factionist.

He also got some info about Ravi's character. Incidentally the movie is called Raktha Charitra as we all know. Now where does Moddu Seenu fit into this gamut of things? Moddu Seenu was interviewed by TV 9 soon after he had committed the crime when he confessed in his interview with TV9.

Ramu has decided to use this same clipping in his film to infuse a lot of authenticity into the film. Knowingly or unknowingly Moddu Seenu has become an actor in the film Raktha Charitra. The fact is that no one knows in which context this clipping would be used by RGV. RGV is going at a great pace for the completion of this project and the film would out soon for all to see.

Farzana Addicted To Alcohol?

Has anyone looked at the recent pictures of the lady? The actress with the midas touch for comedy is fast turning out to be a good competition to the plumpier heroines like Charmee.

Recently visible at 'meet the press' conference the lady also denied any affair with actor Naresh. Farzana has never shied away from some ample exposure in her career. She is one actress who combines some excellent skin show with some very good humour. Farzana is also very serious about her comedy roles.

She has been adding a lot of weight around her back these days. This has been happening as the lady is addicted to alcohol, says a gossip. She regularly consumes it and prefers male company when she is at it, say related sources. Her intake is on a daily basis and so that is the reason why she is budging so much.

Injections For Srihari's Muscles

To avoid old age signs and to look tighter Srihari is reported using some special injections. These injections are not easily available in India and they are being imported. Srihari's main plank for some time has been his action films and he has a very big fan base which like him in such movies.

Srihari feels that he needs to cater to them and he can get very good openings for his films which have action as a central theme. He also diversified onto comedy with films like Dhee, but here in these films he is never the central character.

The marriage between Ramya Krishna and Krishna Vamsi has always been a surprise for many. The chemistry between them has always been low. Titled for the time being as ‘Varudu’, the movie launch was held in the month of May. Industry talk reveals that the on-going shoot will start from the 15th of November at Ramoji Film City. The cast and crew then start off to the arid deserts of Rajasthan for a prolonged schedule of 60 days for filming.

A few sequences that has a rural backdrop will be canned from Nov 22, in the locales of Pollachi, Kerala. Intro song choreographed by Raju Sundaram is decided to be canned in South Africa and Namibia from the 1st of February. Apart from this, two more songs will be done by Bollywood choreographers Saroj Khan and Vaibhav Marchant.

Mahesh Babu now drives a Taxi in this movie, as he plays the role of a taxi driver. The antagonist role is entrusted to Prakash Raj and Suneel plays Mahesh’s buddy. The change script might adversely affect the title and this movie might be rechristened in awhile.

The filming is planned to be completed in the upcoming schedules in April and May and is slated for a July 18 release.

Mahesh Babu As Taxi Driver In His Next Film

Prince Mahesh Babu is going to do the role of a taxi driver in his next film which will be directed by Trivikram Srinivas. This movie will start its shooting from 15th of November. This will be the next movie for Trivikram Srinivas after the average hit Jalsa with Pawan Kalyan, Ileana and Parvathi Melton.

Parvathi Melton is doing the first heroine role. Tamanna recently rejected the second heroine role. Shreya and Siya are being considered for this role. The second role is the role of a doctor. Comedian Sunil and Prakash Raj as villan will play the other important roles in the movie.

The shooting wil first start in Ramoji Film City and will take place for 2 days. Then the unit will shift to the desets of Rajasthan where the shooting will take place for 60 days. Then the shooting will take place in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu for few days after which it will shit to South Africa for an extensive and long shoot. The unit will return back and finish the shooting in Hyderabad by shooting few songs in costly sets.

Raju Sundaram, Saroj Khan and Vaibhav Merchant will be the choreographers for the movie. Singanamala Ramesh will be producing this high budget movie on Kanakaratna Movies banner. The tentative release date of this yet to be named movie is July 18th 2009.

Ladies Tailor was a parody made on Sravanthi Movies, in the direction of Vamsi. Producer Ravi Kishore made this film starring Rajendra Prasad and Archana in the lead cast. The movie released in a far time in the past was received accolades for its entertaining factors.

In the wake of mounting pressure from his fans to enter politics and in a bid to keep them in good humour, Tamil super star Rajinikant on Mo nday reiterated his “open mind” on plunging into politics. He is only waiting for a direction from Almighty.

In an hour-long interaction with his fans at his Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai, the star told the cheering crowd: “No body can force or compel me to enter politics. If there is a God’s will, no one can prevent me from entering politics. I will plunge into it”.

Rajini said he is fully aware of the sentiments and high expectations of his beloved fans. Right now he is busy with shooting for Enthiran. Once it is over, he is prepared to sit with his fans for a discussion on entering politics. The star told them if he wished he could have entered politics at the peak of his popularity in 1996. But, he decided to support the fight put up by late G K Moopanar with DMK against AIADMK. Referring to protests in Karnataka over his remarks on the Hogenakkal water project, he said he knew Kannadigas are peace loving people. Then, he had called for hitting back at only those who indulged in violence on the issue, he said. Rajini regretted that whenever there was a dispute between the two states on Cauvery or Hogenakkal, cinema halls are the first targets. In political circles Monday’s meeting is being viewed against the backdrop of not-so-satisfactory performance of his last movie, Kuselan. Rajini, many feel, is galvanising his fans for the success of his next movie. At the same time, others feel, the star with a strong fan base, cannot afford to ignore their long pending aspiration. A sizeable number of youths, frustrated over the domination by the two Dravidian parties, have started rallying behind the political parties started by actors Vijaykanth and R Sarath Kumar.
