Fresh Start For Genelia D’Souza | Interview With Genelia

Bollywood turns out to be a bed of roses for Genelia D’Souza

Why didn’t you do any more Hindi films after Masti and Tujhe Meri Kasam?
I have never planned anything in life. After those films, I got busy in South. My acting career took off in Tamil and Telugu films and before I could realise what was happening, I ended up shooting for 365 days.

How difficult is it to make it big in Hindi films, after becoming a big name in South?
Though the film industries are different, my job as an actor remains the same. It is cinema that matters most to me, not the industries. Now I’m looking at a career here and want to be appreciated. My experience in Hindi films has been overwhelming till now. My second film Masti was a huge hit, and now I am getting to work with big banners. I’m enjoying every minute of it.

Will you continue with Tamil and Telugu films?
I definitely want to do that but it depends on how busy I get in Hindi films.

Do you consider yourself lucky, being chosen for films like Abbas Tyrewala’s Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Priyadarshan’s Mere Baap Pehle Aap?
I don’t think I am plain lucky. I have acted in a lot of films in South which speak of my abilities. Over the years, I’ve grown as an actor. It’s an achievement especially for someone like me who does not have a film background. I think I was chosen for these films simply because I fitted the bill.

Don’t you think Imran Khan (Aamir Khan’s nephew) will draw the maximum attention in Jaane Tu?
I’m not thinking like that. I have accepted an opportunity that knocked at my door. I enjoy acting, it does not matter who is cast opposite me. I’m glad that I’m acting in saleable films.

Apart from Jaane Tu and Mere Baap, you are also acting opposite Harman Baweja in one film.
It’s the Hindi remake of my Telugu film Bommarillu and will be directed by Anees Bazmee. Priyadarshan had seen Bommarillu, which made him cast me in Mere Baap. I am cast opposite Harman Baweja in its Hindi remake. The shooting starts this August.

My Rateing - 3/5
Cast:Nitin, Mamta Mohan Das, Sindhu Tolani, Sashank, Tanikella, Sana, Ranganath, Nutan Prasad, Kondal Rao
Music: Chakri
Release date: 27-06-2008
Direction: Ravi C Kumar

Review : VICTORY of Nitin comes with a bang on the present land mafia prevailing in Hyderabad as well as other parts of the country. Nitin is depicted as an action hero and with his well toned muscular body, he aptly suits the character. The director has carved the story very well, but the dragging second half of the film will make the audience a bit annoyed.

Story :

Vijji (Nitin) is an educated guy with a middle class family tag in his background. He is young and much talented. He immensely loves his younger sister and his mom. Tanikella Bharani plays the father’s character of Vijji (Nitin) in this film. Tanikella has a desire to build a small house with all basic luxuries. He has a dream to cultivate a garden in his house and has the plans to play with his grandchildren in it. In order to fulfill his dream Tanikella purchase a small plot in a housing board society.

Sindhu tolani incidentally meets with Vijii and befriends him. She works as a reporter in the news channel TV5 and fights against injustice.

Meanwhile Tanikella wishes to see his son as a married man and so in search of a suitable bride surfs the matrimonial websites. A girl named Jannu (Mamta Mohan Das) matches all the likings of Vijji and his family. Soon the boy and girl start to like each other and as a result fall in love with each other. Sashank, Duvvasi, Mohan, srinu are the friends of Vijji and share a well bonded friendship with each other.
However the entry of the villain takes place in the film. Devraj (Ashutosh Rana) is a land grabber in the disguise of a MLA. He makes his riches by land grabbing and selling the occupied lands to NRI’s. He eyes on the lands of the housing board society in which Vijji’s father Tanikella owns a small plot. Devraj creates some fake documents in the eyes of law and becomes the owner of the total property. But in the meantime the original owner emerges as the grandfather of Mamta Mohan Das. His name is Kondal Rao. When he challenges the villainous MLA in court, Devraj hatches a plan and kills him.

Then the hero enters into the filed and starts his heroic activities. Vijji exposes Devraj and his activities and brings to an end all his evil deeds in the society. He then wins the total property and also his beloved Jannu (Mamta).

Performances: Nitin as usual looks well suited for the action sequences with his toned body. He flexes his muscles and his so called eight pack body and ends the Villains’ activities. His dialogue delivery and the expressions have to be polished more. His dancing and acting capabilities are above average.
Mamta Mohan Das looks cool in this film with not much skin show, only a little bit she acts well. Her role is minced and only restricts to some scenes and songs.
Sindhu Tolani looks gorgeous as a reported. She is turning into a hot bomb day by day. Her Chennai contacts are surely giving some results. She also manages to pull up the focus on to her through her dialogues as a TV reporter.
Ashutosh Rana of bollywood steals the show with his impeccable acting skills. His eyes speak a lot and his villain character is well elaborated in some scenes as a land grabber and also as a criminal in the disguise of a MLA.
Tanikella, Sana, Ranganath, Nutan Prasad (After a long time) Kondalk Rao have done their jobs very well.
The comedy bunch is made up of Duvassi, Brahmanandham, Ali, MS Narayana and Krishna Bhagvan. Their try to churn some laughs from the audience. Abhinaya sri plays the role of a wife to Brahmanandham. She plays the role of an unsatisfied wife with an aged husband. Finally she elopes with Ali. The scenes which involve Brahmanandham, Abhinaya sri, and Ali are double meaning weaved but are interesting with some elder content.
The songs and the fights are picturised well, but the sentiment element gets the audience a feeling that “Endhuku Vachammu Ra Ee Cinemaki”.
There is nothing much to be said about the film and on the whole this film of Nitin may live for 30 days the most. Or else if Nitin’s father Sudhakar reddy aims, then it can limp towards a 50 day mark.

Sania Mirza In Naga Chaithanya Debut Film

Yet another young hero from akkineni family.

It is long known that Nagarjuna’s son, Naga Chaitanya, will make his debut in a film directed by Puri Jagannath, the specialist in launching star sons. At present, the young scion of the Akkineni family is taking voice modulation lessons and dancing, martial arts and acting lessons in preparation for his debut.

According to sources close to Puri Jagannath, who is flying high on Bujjigadu’s success, Sania Mirza will do a five-minute cameo appearance opposite the young debutant. In fact, Nagarjuna had approached the tennis star personally for this role. He had previously approached Sania to act in his next film, but Sania had been focussing on her career and had turned him down.

Sania Mirza’s cameo is more or less confirmed in Naga Chaitanya’s debut film, though the lead heroine hasn’t been confirmed yet!

Ready Telugu Movie Review | Ready Review | Ram Ready Movie Reviw

My Rateing - 4/5
Punchline: Brahmanandam steals the show, again!
Cast:Ram, Genelia, Brahmanandam, Sunil, Jayaprakash Reddy, Supreet, Shafi, Bharat, Kota, Nassar, Chandra Mohan, Tanikella Bharani, Srinivasa Reddy, Ravi Varma, Sudha, Vidya, Surekha, Apoorva, Tamanna (SA) & Navadeep (SA)
Genre: Comedy/Family
Music: Devi Sri Prasad
Producer: Sravanthi Ravi Kishore
Release date: 19-06-2008
Banner: Sri Sravanthi Movies
Dialogues: Kona Venkat
Cinematography: Sankar, Suchitra Chandrabose & Prem Rakshit
screenplay - Direction: Seenu Vytla

Review : Chandu (Ram), an engineering student, falls in love with Pooja (Genelia), an NRI who comes to visit her uncles in Rayalaseema. A mistaken identity makes Chandu kidnap Pooja
who is about to get married. The rest of the story is all about how Chandu sends Pooja back to her place and how he marries her by convincing elders.

Performances: Ram looked fine in his role and he seamlessly executed the same. His dance in the first song is very good. The scenes in the second half where Ram makes Brahmanandam a bakra are entertaining.
Genelia is an asset to the film and the dubbing of Savita Reddy goes well with her. Brahmanandam as McDowell Murthy steals the show yet again with his hilarious comedy in the second half. He is like the second
hero of the film. After Dhee and Krishna, this is the third film where he had the crowds in splits. Sunil did the role of a 'theda candidate'. His bharatanatyam (spoof of Sagara Sangamam) and the way he slaps himself
is good (typical Seenu Vytla brand). The third impressive characterization comes from the kid who acts as JP's grandson. Jayaprakash Reddy and Kota are good. Nassar and Sudha in parental roles are adequate. The way Surekha
scolding her son to vent frustration on JP is humorous. Tamanna and Navadeep did guest appearances.

Technical Departments: Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is intricate. The screenplay in the second half delivered the much required punch. You do not see Seenu Vytla brand of comedy in the first half except
for a couple of scenes with Sunil. Most of the second half belongs to Seenu Vytla. The way he introduced Brahmanandam and made him an integral part in the second half is strategic. He extracted solid performance from Brahmanandam
without being repetitive. Direction of Seenu Vytla is good in the second half.

Other Departments: Songs and background score by Devi Sri Prasad is good. The bonhomie song towards climax is a good on the screen. Dialogues in the film are in good health, away from vulgarity. We do except a better cinematography for
a film of this stature. The money spent on the film could not reflect on its visuals, showing mediocre output in patches in certain scenes. Fights by Peter Hynes are well choreographed, but the script of the film does not really demand
such buildup. Editing of the film is passable and the first half needs some trimming. Production values by Sravanthi banner are very good.

Final Analysis: First half of the film is mediocre. The second half is good with hilarious comedy by Brahmanandam. On the flipside, a better editing of first half and some of the fights would do something good to the film. This film is stuffed
with ample commercial elements, mainly the vibrant comedy. Ready has potential chances to bring a hat-trick for Seenu Vytla after Dhee and Dubai Seenu. This film is worth a watch for the comedy.

A success called Trisha

er innocent smile, natural charm and trendy style has worked magic with the audiences for the last seven years. "My life's just beginning.

When I started out, I said that for the first few years I'd have fun here. But now, I'm seriously considering acting as a profession. I aim to be successful, famous and a good actor and I'm pretty charged about it," she says.

Trisha means success in Russian; she is probably the only heroine after Sridevi to be successful in Tamil and Telugu. She has withstood pressures, controversies, competition and emerged on top due to her hard work and commitment. This year's two big summer releases in Tamil (Kuruvi) and Telugu (Bujjigadu - Made in Chennai) featured her in the female lead. In the ad world, she is the hottest model and is brand ambassador for half a dozen consumer items.

Trisha, or Trash as she is affectionately known among her friends, is a big-budget survivor in an industry where top heroines burn out in two years. She came into films after being crowned Miss Chennai and made her debut as heroine in Lesa Lesa. This was followed by a string of superhits like Saamy, Ghillli, Tirupachi and Unakkum Enakkum. She tasted bigger success in Telugu with blockbusters like Nuvvostante Nenoddantana, Varsham, Athudu, Aadavari Matalaku Andhalu Verule, Krishna and other films. Till date, the lass has acted in 28 films- 18 in Tamil and 10 in Telugu.

Her winsome smile, sharp features and an hour-glass figure are her strengths that have taken her to the masses. Trisha is probably the only Tamil girl who has made it big in the last 10 years in an industry full of North Indian and Malayalee girls. Quiz her about her success and survival instincts, the actress shoots back- "It's a lot of hard work and a bit of luck; one has to be at the right place at the right time." Her hit ratio in Telugu seems far better (75 percent) than in Tamil (50 percent). "I cannot understand why my Telugu films do better than my Tamil ones. It may be because the roles I do in Telugu gave me a lot more scope to perform and they never wasted me. I think Tamil cinema is too hero-centric," says the actress who has won two Filmfare and two State awards for her roles in Telugu films.

She is one actress who loves to experiment with her looks and goes for styling at regular intervals. When she experiments, it generates a lot of attention. When she had a Nemo fish tattoo done just below her left shoulder, it was news. And now, it is the Swarovski crystal on her teeth that is making news.
Trisha says that she has no regrets about doing some films which turned out to be bad at the end. "I don't regret any movie that I have done. I sign a film more on my gut feeling and sometimes at the end of it, they may not work," she adds.

Trisha is currently working on director Gautham Menon's Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam with a bunch of newcomers. She enthuses: "To me, the main attraction of the film was working with Gautham". She informs us that her role in the film is something that she has never attempted before. She is also working on a film titled Sarwam directed by Vishnuvardhan of Billa fame and a film with Radhamohan (titled Abhiyum Nanum) of Mozhi fame.

Controversies have chased this actress at regular intervals. If it was the MMS clips a few years ago, it was her road rage on the ECR and frequent partying that were talked about. But of late, the actress has been keeping an extremely low profile and keeping away from the press. "Controversies are part of stardom but the press tries to blow it out of proportion. At the end of the day, it is my work in films that should speak," she says. About partying, she asks, "What's wrong in partying? I am a young and independent girl and have never denied that I have a lot of friends with whom I am comfortable. After a hard day's shoot, I need to unwind and be relaxed. I don't see anything wrong in it and it's my private life".

Quiz her about competition and she frowns: "It's a rat race out here. A new girl comes to the industry every other day. The moment you trip, there's someone ready to take your place and there's no room for error".
About her recent fall out with Nayanthara, the actress says that she has no issues with anyone. "She has never been my close buddy though we hung around together. I'm closest to Reema and Shriya as we bond well. But, we don't discuss work. After all, it takes two to tango!"

Rainbow Telugu Movie Music Launched

The music of VN Aditya’s latest film ‘Rainbow’ with Raahul, Sonali Chauhan and Sindhu menon in the main leads was launched at a grand function organized at Club Jayabheri on the night of 21 May. Dasari Narayana Rao, Siddhardh, Nitin, Sekhar Kammula, MS Raju, B Gopal, Tammareddy Bharadwaja, Murali Mohan etc attended this function as guests.

Popular singer Nihal is making his debut as director with this film. Sunita and Suchitra Chandrabose get single card for female playback singer and choreographer respectively.

Speaking on the occasion chief guest Dasari said, “I decided not to attend audio launch functions long back. Hence when VN Aditya invited me to function, I avoided him by saying I would not be available in city. Then he changed the date of launch and relentlessly pursued me. I am happy to come here now. Films like Bommarillu, Happy Days and Gamyam are changing the complextion of Telugu films. The producers should stop producing films with big combinations by keeping the openings in mind. Tamilians discourage Tamil directors from titling their films in English. Likewise, we must also not keep English titles. Sekhar Kammula gave four heroes to Telugu film industry. Rahul is one among them. VN Aditya’s debut film manasantha nuvve was a huge blockbuster. And he could not get the hype he deserved in the industry. I am sure that Rainbow will become a huge hit.”

Tammareddy Bharadwaja said, “VN Aditya is not like a regular commercial director. The music of this film is as good as Happy Days. I am sure that Rainbow will bring back the glory to VN Aditya.”

Siddhardh said, “This is the first audio function I attended that has no connection to me. It is a laudable effort on part of VN Aditya and his friends coming forward to make this movie. During the time of Aata, I happened to meet the family members of Aditya and they are sweet. I would also like to thank Aditya who has given the biggest openings to me with Aata film. Among the songs, I liked Aasa Aasa song very much.”

Nitin said, “I went to Manasantha Nuvve film on the release day on the insistence of my friends. I liked it so much that I watched it continuously for six times in the next six days. I liked his Tyson character in Happy Days. I am sure that Rainbow will become a hit like Manasantha Nuvve.”

Sekhar Kammula said, “The texture of the film is colorful. There is some good feel about this film. The role of Tyson is innocent and sacrificial. The same Raahul looks very dynamic in this film. I liked Aasa song. I hope that Rainbow will become a big hit.”

When MS Raju wished that Rainbow would become a big hit like Manasantha Nuvve, VN Aditya responded that he would give half the profits to MS Raju if Rainbow collects equivalent what Manasantha Nuvve collected.

Paruchuri brothers expressed their happiness over the artists from Raghu Babu trust being selected for this film. The main villain Chowdary is from Raghu Babu trust.

Sonal Chauhan expressed her happiness over working for this film and said that all songs are hummable.

Raahul said that he worked very hard for this film.

Ram Charan Is Coming As Veerudu With Six Pack Body

Ramcharan is coming as ‘Veerudu’ with Six pack body!

The second film of Ram Charan, son of Mega Star Chiranjeevi, directed by SS Rajamouli and produced by Allu Aravind
under the banner of Gita Arts, was formally launched at Film Nagar Cultural Centre in Hyderabad. Producer DVS Raju
gave the clap, while D Ramanaidu switched on the camera for the muhurat shot picturised on gods' portraits under the
honorary direction of Chiranjeevi. Earlier puja activities were performed and those who participated in the function
include Pawan Kalyan, Nagababu and Allu Arjun.

Speaking on the occasion, Allu Aravind said, "When we approached Rajamouli to direct Ram Charan, he agreed to direct
his second film. All of us are impressed with the story brought by him. Earlier, we had doubts whether Kajal would suit
the heroine's character or not. But after watching the photo shoot by Rajamouli, we convinced that she is okay in all aspects."

Rajamouli has prepared a script where Ramcharan will be showed as Veerudu and Rajamouli asked Ramcharan to build up his body for
this role and Ramcharan is spending most of his time in Gym with his coach.

And at the same time, Ramcharan is also learning Horse riding in Hyderabad as for the direction of SS Rajamouli. So we are going to
see all together new Ramcharan on a horse in his next film.

As usual, MM Keeravaani will tune this film.

Rajamouli said, "This is an action-packed love story. I was able to impress Allu Aravind, Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan with my story.
It is the story of a couple, who lost their lives some 400 years ago and they take a rebirth to win the love game in this era. We will
begin the regular shooting at Rajasthan from March 15."

"I have decided to reveal the storyline even before the launch of regular shoot as the gossip-mongers are spreading unnecessary rumours.
There are several gossips in the film industry and media circles that we are going to put the title as Dheerudu but there is no truth in it.
Likewise, there were gossips that popular heroine of yesteryears Sridevi is playing a role in this film and that was also false. There are
absolutely no similarities to Om Shanti Om too. I watched Ram Charan's debut film Chirutha and keenly observed his body language and prepared
a tailor-made subject. It is like a challenge for me" he added.

Ram Charan said, "I liked the story by Rajamouli and I have a lot of scope to prove my talents in this film. I am against fixing in a particular
image and want to do different roles."

Kaajal said, "I am very happy for getting an opportunity to work under a big banner like Gita Arts and also it was my long time wish to work under
Rajamouli's direction."

Dev Gill, Brahmanandam, Sunil, Sameer, Rao Ramesh are in the cast. Story is by V Vijayendra Prasad, music is by Keeravani, dialogues are by M Ratnam,
camera is by KK Senthil Kumar, editing is by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, styling is by Rama Rajamouli, art is by R Ravinder and action is by Peter Haynes.
While BVSN Prasad would be the co-producer, screenplay and direction are by SS Rajamouli.

PANDURANGADU Movie Review | Telugu Movie Pandurangadu Review

Punchline: Pandurangadu's redemption
Cast: Balakrishna, Sneha, Tabu, K Vishwanath, Bramhanandam, Sunil, Dharmavarapu, M Balaiah, LB Sriram, Prasad Babu, Ananth, Sameer, Gundu Hanumantha Rao, Jenny, PSR Murthy, Sathipandu, Archana, Suhasini, Meghana Naidu, Y Vijaya, Sana Shivaparvathi, Shireesha, Bhargavi, Neethu, Sumana Sri, Radhika, Aruna Baby Kavya, Master Vivek and Master Athulith
Music: MM Keeravani
Producer: KS Rama Rao
Release date: 30 May 2008
Banner: RK Film Associates
My Rateing - 3/5
Direction: K Raghavendra Rao
Production: K Krishna Mohan
Dialogues: JK Bharavi
Cinematography: Jayaram

Review : Main Story: Ranga (Bala Krishna) is a flirtatious bachelor. He gets addicted to a prostitute called Amrita (Tabu). His parents try to reform him, but fail. Lakshmi (Sneha) is one of greatest devotees of Lord Krishna (Bala Krishna). One night Lord Krishna appears in her dreams and asks her to marry Ranga. Lakshmi somehow manages to wed Ranga. But Ranga keeps on going to Amrita and neglects his parents’ advice. The rest of the story is all about how Lord Krishna makes Ranga realize the importance of being loyal to wife and to respect the parents.

Performances:

Bala Krishna donned two roles of the God and the devotee. He is pretty good in both these roles. His expressions in Lord Krishna character are excellent. Mohan Babu impresses everybody with his modulated diction as the one who preaches the greatness of the parents. Sneha is nice in this performance oriented role. Tabu’s role has more of exposing and there is lot of cleavage show. She looks old though. Other heroines like Suhasini and Archana don’t have much to do. K Viswanath, Siva Parvati and Balayya are adequate. LB Sriram could not get out of his usual mannerisms while doing the role of Narada. Sunil is alright as one of the comedians. Brahmanandam is wasted in an insignificant role. Y Vijaya looks ghastly with a wig. Item girl Meghana Naidu danced in a song.

Technical Departments:

Story - screenplay - direction: This film is a remake of NTR’s classic Panduranga Mahatyam. The story is about the redemption of a flirt and of an irresponsible son. The writer of the film had lot of limitations because of the original. The characterization and exposing of Tabu character is gone beyond the limits though her character is supposed to be that of a prostitute. Direction by K Raghavendra Rao is adequate. But he could not get the emotions work in this film the way he has done for Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu (that is probably because all Telugus are fond of those historic characters). Screenplay of the film should have been better.

Other Departments:

The music scored by MM Keeravani is good. Cinematography by Jayaram is neat. Dialogues by JK Bharavi are nice. He used rhyme (prasa) to get a couple of good one-lines like pelli kala vachindi (kala refers to dream, but not glow) and ‘meeru aadu (aada) vaaru. Memu aadinchu vaaramu’. Editing is alright.

Final Analysis:

First half of the film is alright though there is excess dosage of exposing by Tabu. Tempo in second half goes down a bit. But the movie is better in the last half an hour after Mohan Babu appears (the redemption process). The plus points are Bala Krishna and the music. On the flipside, the emotions would have been strongly established.

Tamanna Dropped From Allu Arjun’s Film

Happy Days Tamanna seemed on a roll when she was signed by producer Allu Arvind for his home production starring Allu Arjun and being directed by Sukumar. But the latest buzz is that the pretty actress was dropped from the film’s cast as director Sukumar felt that she was not very suitable for the role. The film’s makers just might zero in on either Kajal or Ileana. A set back though this is, Tamanna can find solace in the fact that her popularity is growing in the Tamil industry. Tamanna also has a Telugu film ready for release, the Sushant starrer Kaalidasu.

Arya Sequel With Allu Arjun Again

If you ask any Telugu film lover as to which film made Allu Arjun closer to the young audiences, pat comes the reply, that it is none other than 'Arya'.

The way the director run the story, the characterisation of hero, the dialogues really enthralled the audiences. Sukumar directed that movie which was released in 2004.

After 'Arya' the combination of Allu Arjun and Sukumar was supposed to repeat for 'Jagadam', but it failed to materialise and Sukumar chose Ram for the role.

Now, he started making efforts to do a sequel to 'Arya' now and prepared a perfect script. Though 'Dil' Raju produced 'Arya', the sequel is going to be produced jointly by Aditya Babu and BVSN Prasad.

Both Allu Arjun and Dil Raju confirmed the making of sequel at the triple platinum disc function of 'Parugu'.

For more details see this blog daily.....

Tamanna To Be Paired With Allu Arjun?

Tamanna who shot to fame post the stupendous success of Happy Days has finally signed a big budgeted flick. She has been waiting for 'right project' to come and that is why she refused to sign any new films. Although Tamanna has committed in principle for the production houses - Geeta Arts (owned by Allu Aravind) and M S Raju's Sumanth Arts, she has not yet been offered a film by them.
But the latest news doing rounds in the film industry is that director Sukumar has cast her opposite Allu Arjun in his next film to be launched in April. The dates she has given for Geeta Arts will be used for this movie, sources told us.

Hansika Wishes To Play Opposite Super Star Maheshbabu

Earlier, there was a craze towards Chiranjeevi. Any heroine, when asked her dream role use to say that she wanted to pair up with the Mega Star.

Now the trend was changed. The present day heroines are after young sensation Maheshbabu.

While some heroines openly say that they were Maheshbabu fans, while Hansika Motwani went a step ahead to express her wish to play opposite Maheshbabu.

She already paired up with Allu Arjun for 'Desamuduru' and NTR for 'Kantri'. This Mumbai girl is now craving to play opposite Maheshbabu and dared to say that she was ready to do any kind of scene with him.

Let us wait and watch, when her dream will come true.

Mahesh Signs For Another Movie

Dasavatharam Confirms June 6 Release!

Dasavatharam Movie Stills
It's official! Producer Oscar Ravichandran has confirmed that Kamal Hassan's magnum opus Dasavatharam will release on June 6 worldwide.

The case against the film filed by Sri Vaishnava Dharma Samraakshana Society seeking to restrain the release of movie on the ground that some scenes in the film offended the feelings of Hindus has been challenged by its producer V.Ravichandran.

In the counter affidavit filed by Oscar Ravi in the Madras High Court it was made clear that the allegations mentioned in the petition were based on pure imagination as no such scenes that would hurt the sentiments of Hindus were there in the film. The further hearing of the case has been postponed to May 27.

The court has not put any restriction on the release of the film. Ravi says June 6 is a good day to release the film worldwide in 1000 screens in three languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.

Ravi is planning to start a publicity campaign of the film from May 30. He will be advertising on Sony Max during the semi-finals and finals of the DLF-IPL cup.
